APS writes a big check to the City of Phoenix:

Saturday February 21st and Sunday February 22nd:

A short one act play "Black Women Walking" at Phoenix College, about the victories of eleven prominent African American women who shaped

America.

Sunday the 22nd at 1 pm:

The film "100 Journals" at the Phoenix Art Museum. An unnamed artist in 2000 scattered a thousand blank journals, with the written invitation for people to add anything they wanted.

follows as the journals are tracked down three years later. The filmmaker will be at the screening for questions and discussion, as well as several of the completed journals.

Tuesday February 24th:

Monthly meeting of Radiate Phoenix. This month's meeting will be held at Sens at 5:30ty, and speaker Patty Johnson will be on hand to discuss Mayor Gordon's marketing efforts to promote downtown Phoenix.

Wednesday February 25th:

Arizona Science Center holds another in their Future of Evolution Lecture Series. This one is called Aliens Under Our Noses, and will discuss our origins, biodiversity, and life outside of Earth.

Next weekend, Friday the 27th through Sunday March 1st is World Fest at Deck Park. Presented by Phoenix Sister Cities, there will be tons of music, multicultural food, and beer.
